Bringing 2 bolsters back

January 23rd, 2012

Please, don’t laugh at me if i tell you i bought 2 bolsters back to SZ. Over the past few months, i actually have been searching a lot of shops for just a piece of bolster, but what a sad that i simply could not get one. They just didn’t sell the bolster separately, if you need the bolster then you need to get the pillow as well, but i have loads of pillows at home. So, nothing beat to get here and bring back. I also ordered upholstery fabric too, the selling price of upholstery fabric here is cheaper yet good in quality than those selling in SZ, some more there are selling in great assortment of designs. Now, just can’t wait to go back and facelift my house with new upholstery fabric.

No internet connection soon

January 13th, 2012

The kids were so sad when they were told that there was no WIFI in KK home. But, i remember when i was young, i used to stay outdoor playing sands, stones, climbing up the trees and fences with siblings and neighbors, but nowadays kids, i think they would show you a sour and long face when they were asked to touch the stones at the roadsides. Their life nowadays are all about gadget stuffs, so when my kids know we won’t be having any internet connection during our stay in KK, they simply look disappointed. My second boy even asked whether there is tv available at grandpa’s house? My second boy is a city grown up boy, so he just could not imagine how a “kampung” life is supposed to be. I have to comfort him by telling him the roughly situation of our stay at grandpa’s house, i told him of course there is a tv and outdoor tv antennas are everywhere to be seen, so he still can watch his favorite telly programmes there. For sure our holidays will be a breeze if we have internet connection there. Be honestly, i still don’t know how to survive without an internet, see, we just so use to having all these convenience.

My Canon EOS60D

December 30th, 2011

I lost my Canon EOS450D on 11/12/2011 at Disneyland Hotel, HK. Lost not only the camera but also those precious photos too. Hubby was kind to me because he bought me a new DSLR again, it was Canon EOS60D. The camera was on time for capturing the every moment of Christmas. I bought it from CMK at Sheung Shui Complex, HK. At first i was planned to get it from Broadway but the salesperson in Broadway was unfriendly and rude, so off i went to CMK. The salesperson at CMK was friendly and helpful, and since he knows pretty a lot of photography skills so he did give me a bunch of useful information in choosing a right camera for myself.

I bought the EOS60D body without getting the kit lense. For me, the kit lense is futile to add into my lense collection. Then i was in dilemma which lense to get. Getting a Canon L lense is out of my budget, and i think L lense is just too much for me to carry because i still consider a beginner. So left only Tamron lense i could choose, but which Tamron lense is the best? The guy suggested the Tamron SP AF 17-50mm F2.8 for me, but i simply felt uneasy to have this lense again. I had this lense before but it lost together with my EOS450D. I still keep the box intactly in my cupboard so at last i bought the Tamron 18-270mm F3.5-F6.3 which i can bring it everywhere. It is versatile for travel and for shooting in a variety of situations, so most of photogs call it as “tin ngai geng” (read it in Cantonese).

Going to meet my best buddy

December 30th, 2011

I received a call from my friend just now, she was happily thanking me for sending her the garden gifts as her birthday present. I was happy to hear her joyful voice too. She has been my best buddy since i was a little and i am blessed to have her around as my soul companion. Now she has moved to another province but glad that our friendship still can be blossomed into another level. Wish the time can pass fast so that we can meet up again in the coming festive. Perhaps i should get her more gardening accessories for meetup gift since she loves gardening.

Big foot

December 30th, 2011

I have always wanted to get myself a pair of new boots but pathetic that i could not find a suitable size for my big feet. My hubs said perhaps i could think of getting a pair of riding boots which he thinks the boots are versatile. Well, i would if i could find it is trendy to be worn to different occasions. I sometimes just hate being a big foot lady because the shoes i can choose are so minimal, even there is some availabilities for me to choose, they are also out of fashion. Sigh, what had i been eating during my puberty for having such a big foot at size US9.5?

Holiday mood is on…

December 21st, 2011

We are going back to our home country very soon, in another 24 days! My FIL told us we will see decorative switch plate covers in our new decorated bedroom. Wow, i just can’t wait any longer to go back to my new facelifted bedroom. Of course i miss the foods there too! I have been craving for curry lately, but sadly to say i just could not find a tasty curry here. Think nowhere has good curry other than my home country!

Holiday mood is on now…..

Juicy Couture

December 20th, 2011

The Christmas is just around the corner, and very luckily my Christmas present arrived right on time at my doorstep. I have been a good girl so I deserved a good present. I actually wanted to get myself a pair of Minnetonka boots but ended I bought myself a clutch from Juicy Couture. My friend bought it from LA and sent it back for me thus this clutch is cheaper than getting from Juicy Couture’s counter here. I just paid less than RM300 for this, what a deal! I also bought a black color for my sister and am going to bring back for her during CNY. Think she will love having it!

Playing badminton

December 20th, 2011

Recently, we found out a lot of steel buildings built nearby our neighborhood and after checking them we managed to know they actually are badminton courts. Before that, playing badminton was actually costly due to the deprivation of badminton court, other than that, it was always hard to book a court even you were willing to pay the expensive court renting fees. The waiting time could be 3 months more or longer. Luckily the situation has been greatly improved now and we manage to play badminton every Sunday.

3 photobooks still on hold

December 20th, 2011

I bought 2 photobooks yesterday at RM76.80 each which both will expire on next April. I actually still have one photobook which will expire on next February but sadly to say that i just do not have much personal time to sit down and sort out those photos which i would like to put in the photobook. My girl has taken all of my time and basically i am already dead tired after she falls asleep, so i really cannot spare some time for myself and processing the photobook. Sigh, just wish that i can manage to process my photobook before it reaches its expiry date.

Looking for the Disneyland trip

December 6th, 2011

I have just bought a new casio digital camera for our coming Disneyland trip, which is on this Saturday. The kids didn’t show much interest although they were told about the Disneyland trip. My elder boy had been there before but not for my little twos, so i still bet they will be thrilled once they reach there. Kids being kids, think they just unable to resist from the fun and those interesting games, don’t you agree? Actually my only worry is the weather, according to the weather forecast, it will have strong wind which speed at force 5 on this Saturday.
